  • About Us

    We are Newport Middle School and are one of the proud recipients of Big Rock Foundation’s 2026 education grant funds in collaboration with Carteret Education Foundation! We began working away on building our boat together in March 2026. Our lead teacher Mr. Stehle is our Captain and we are all a part of the crew, doing different tasks based on interest and skill sets. We all voted on our miniboat name, and the winner was: Mr. Boat Jangles!

This miniboat project was made possible by the Big Rock Foundation and is now the second miniboat build as part of Big Rock and the Carteret Education Foundation fleet.
