1st Voyage

• December 2019 - Ready for Deployment

  The students in Ms. Swanson’s class had the boat ready by the end of 2019. Here are some pictures of them getting it ready:

  

  

• January 25, 2020 - Launched

  The Rip Tide was launched on the morning of January 25 about 350 nm from the Delaware Capes. Thanks to Captain Abanto and the crew of the Bermuda Islander for setting her to sea!

• February 10, 2020 - Last GPS report

  The Rip Tide 2 sailed for 15 days before sending its last GPS signal. What happened and where will she go? Hopefully we find out someday!
