About Us
This summer, teachers Joceline, Ian, and Karen led a hands-on miniboat project that invited students across the school community to take part in an ocean-inspired adventure. The program primarily engaged 4th-6th graders, while a few enthusiastic 1st and 2nd graders joined in to add their creative touch through decorations and drawings tucked into the cargo hold as keepsakes and designs on the deck.
The miniboat, M/B Song of the Sea, beautifully compliments the school’s bi-yearly marine studies, offering students a memorable opportunity to explore, create, and connect with the ocean in meaningful ways.

October 2025 Update
On October 29th, 2025, Song of the Sea was driven up to Newport, Rhode Island from Connecticut to her deployer. Alex Robinson and crew were happy to help launch Cold Spring’s miniboat on their sailing trip down to Antigua in the Caribbean!
Once in Rhode Island, the deployment team stepped the mast, bent the sail, and ensured the GPS was reporting before brining the miniboat on a mini adventure to their sailboat in port.
