Dear Friend,
While we continue working together to overcome the major funding gap left by the loss of our federal grant, let’s take a moment to celebrate our current work and the incredible momentum we have!
Hundreds of students have been pouring their hearts into preparing their miniboats all year long—and communities are stepping up to cheer them on and support their journeys. This is what makes our program so powerful.
Our communities are embracing learning, opportunity, and connection - like the growing support in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. This week we saw two new miniboats launched there, but their stories started years ago... Exactly how did a fishing tournament in 2023 inspire a community that believes in our mission, and the power of connection? Check out our latest blog post: From Recovery to Discovery: Miniboat Magic in the Outer Banks, NC.
